Apparently from what I can gather - last evening rain was so tremendous it caused the main roof of the Palace Station to collapse. This in turn started a fire. I am sure others such as Gene will give everyone a blow by blow description. I don't enjoy reporting this type of info. I do not believe , thank God, anyone was hurt.
The roads were flooded and many cars stalled - especially down by Charleston underpass. Travel was slow with low lying roads still showing deep water as late as 3:00p.m. PST.
Where I live we had severe lighting and thunder. That is all for now. Best, Jim
