Jim, Again I echo your sentiment. Although I never experienced responses such as you are describing (mainly because I never attempted to make a trade at a show) I can very well see what the attitude would be by a novice collector as it puppets my feelings exactly.

Attitude is very important as anyone in business will attest to. Politeness and courtesy always pays off.

I, for one, have no trouble trading with someone else for local chips of which I can restock with ease even for duplicate chips as I can always use them as traders.
