Gene, You have my sentiments completely. I too, will pay only face value for current chips, but in addition, also for obsoletes. Just because they are obsolete, does not mean they are rare. There are many traders willing to trade for face value and I believe that most of us "non-dealers" should deal with only people that are not trying to rip us off.

As someone stated in an earlier thread, no one is going to be able to collect every chip, so what's the big deal if we can't get a certain chip. Many of us have no intention of ever selling our collection anyway. Were giving it to our grandchildren. I never saw a chip yet that I couldn't pass up if I had to pay over face value. By the way, that also includes Hard Rocks.
