Boy, go away for a few days and there are more than 200 messages when you come back! Don't have time tonite to read them all, but found the warped chip thread interesting. I discovered some time ago that warped chips can be unwarped and restored to perfectly flat condition (without apparent damage to the chips) by placing them in a microwave oven and zapping them for a short time. Worked for me on both clay and inlaid composition chips. Had to do a little experimenting (and fried, well bubbled, a few in the process), but in my microwave, takes about 45 seconds for clay chips and a little longer for composition.
I just laid them out on a perfectly flat surface and the chips softened and flattened to conform to the surface. Also stuck a couple to the plate I was using, too, so be careful of that if you try it. Haven't ever tried this on coin inlay or Chipcos (mostly because I've never seen either warped).
