Here's a true Lodge Casino story that really happened last week. A friend of mine went to Colorado around July 4 for a week. He's not a chip collector to the degree that many of us are, but he does collect sport related chips.
Anyhow, he returned home, and called me to say that they were so busy doing other things with the family that he really only stepped into one casino. That casino happened to be the Lodge, because he had heard it was a new one.
Then he gave me the big news that he had brought home something "very special", something that he was told would become very valuable in the future, and that I could have it at his $100. cost if I wanted it.
Needless to say, he came home with one of the Lodge G.O. sets.
I then had to break the news to him that I was not interested in that set, and gave him the background of how most collectors feel about the matter.
So now he must decide to either keep it or perhaps mail it back to his friend whom he visited in order to try and return it to the Lodge. This is a true story.
