The "Disney Magic" sailed into Port Canaveral yesterday, as reported in the Miami Herald. The ship will begin regular cruises later this month. "Exotic" ports of call will be Freeport, Nassau, & some island that Disney owns. Cruises are to be combined with stays at Disney World. This sounds like an exciting adventure. YAWN, ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. The ship has many family oriented activities on board, including movies, show rooms, & Disney characters roaming around the ship. This may not come as new news, but there is NO casino! Disney has chosen to carry on with their "family values" theme, & thus have elected to not have a casino which may attract unsavory clientle, degenerates, & worst of all, GAMBLERS! Can you imagine all of the chip possibilities that could have been issued! At each roulette table, there would be 8 different color chips depicting a different Disney character on each. Each time a new movie would be released, they would issue an LE. Mickey himself on the $5, Minnie on the $1 & Goofy on the $2.50. Walt would be on the $500, & so on. If they were to ever decide to open a casino & use a Disney theme, they would be ordering new chips after every cruise. Lets all forget about the Lodge in Colorado & begin a mass letter writing campaign to Michael Eisner!!!!
