If you ever find Bud again, make sure you have a tape recorder.
About a year ago, a friend found some Hacienda chips in Galveston. SqinCir. Unknown where this Hacienda was. I spent a lot of man hours on them. Harvey was in one day and looked at them. He gave me a name in Ca. Turned out to be a dead lead.
Next time he was in, he gave me a name and a phone number from 1946. He had it written on an old keno ticket. The keno ticket must have been 30 years old. I found the man in 20 minutes. He was 83 and still tending bar. He owned the Hacienda on Main St NLV in 1946. The 1st thing the man said to me when I showed him the chips was "YEP THATS THEM" Next thing he said was "BET YOU FOUND THEM IN TEXAS" True story!!!
By the way, I think, Harvey has notes written on keno tickets from every casino in Nevada since 1931. He likes the old keno tickets best, as they don't have advertising on both sides. More room for notes. He told me the year he started and I have forgot, but I remember thinking, GEE I was a kid.
