Not every browser can view scans with every combination of options. Some of the Format Options for the .jpg type file cannot be read by early versions of Microsoft and Netscape browsers (like Baseline Progressive).

Best solution is to use the latest version of the browser you can get your hands on. And don't use the 'proprietary' browsers provided by Prodigy or AOL. They always seem to be a couple of years out of date in incorporating new features.
