Dishwashing detergent can be used but on only six or so chips at a time. Squirt it on in plastic dish. Swish it around and rinse chips off in cool water. Voila. Works for me. But only wash dirty chips. For dirt in cracks use a soft toothbrush. No Close Up. Try it. LMK success or failure so I do not stay dumb all my life. Cheers and happy chip cleaning. Ray
