Bill,
I would have to side with Jim P. on the subject of Poker & the fact that I think it will survive here in Las Vegas. I can understand a lot of Gene's points too. I have played Poker for 38 years since I was an 8 year old kid begging my parents to play a hand during their Saturday night game before they sent me off to bed! I started playing in public cardrooms when I was 19 & would sneak into the Gardena Clubs (California) without getting carded. I also dealt Poker here in Las Vegas & played for a living for about a year. One point left out of ALL the posts is the fact that on September 11th the Movie "Rounders" will be released starring Matt Damon & Ed Norton who both played in this year's WSOP. You can view a trailer of this Movie by clicking the link below. I feel this will do for Poker what "The Color of Money" did for the game of Pool! As for the WSOP, I am elated that it will stay at the Horseshoe. I have been to every WSOP since 1980 & I look forward to being there again next year!
