To everyone: The World Series of Poker held every year at Binion"s Horseshoe has been cancelled. I spoke to my friend Jim Albrecht (The former poker room manager and WSOP Director) less than a half hour ago. He said the event cancellation announcement was Friday, July 3rd. This is a very dark hour for poker players from around the world. For chip collectors it is also a dark hour since there probably will not be issued a $2.50 chip for this years winner - Scotty N.. In addition Jim believes the poker room will be made smaller in the coming weeks. Sorry I have to be the bearer of such sad news. Best, Jim
