That jumble of stuff is the header of every email message. It tells you (if you know what you're looking at} how it got to your mailbox, most of the time. Basically, it's a record of the path a message took to find you. There are what I'd call stealth softwares that disguise the sender's ID or the original server. Many of the bulk email programs do this to avoid filtering of junk mail.
