Property rights. ...perhaps more important than even free speech. When someone desires the property that you live on, it doesn't matter if you lease it or own it, it is your privilege to live there until the government condemns it and buys it from you or compensates you as the leasee, or a private party is willing to pay you what you think that it is worth. It works this way (to include a renter) because a property owner might live in New Jersey when Colorado declares a right-of-way condemnation on a home that the NJ owner has been renting to a CO family for 10 years. IOW, if you force someone out of their home, expect to pay for it. If you don't think compensation is deserved, Clinton is talking to many people this week who'd agree with you.
