Greg, When I made my first trip to Cancun, just after the Mexican government decided to make it a special tourist destination, I fell in love with this area of Mexico. On our first trip we stayed at the Club Med. It was fantastic. Each time we went back, there were newer & bigger hotels, a Hard Rock Cafe, a Planet Hollywood, McDonald's, but no Sonics, & water that you could drink & not get sick. We have been there at least a dozen times & always find tings to do. Now with gaming on a day cruiser, it just adds something more to do. You can take a short ferry ride to Cozumel, which is great for fishing & the best dive resorts in the Caribbean. Isla Mujeres has a natural fish aquarium & down the coast is Tulum & Coba which are wonderful Mayan ruins. It's about an hour & 1/2 flight from Miami & you are transformed into another culture. I know that I sound like a travel agent, but I just love the Yucatan.
