Steve thought of the name Nevada Gold for the pieces of plastic we pay all that money for. It's on the great posters he has with all the old chips in the shape of the state of Nevada.

The Gold Museum just seemed a logical name for the place where he displayed all his Nevada Gold.

At least, that's my interpretation. I never asked him but makes sense.
