Re: Attention Fantasy Chip Police
In Response To: Attention Fantasy Chip Police ()

I suggest that you take a look at the many threads that preceded yours where you will see outrage, concern, etc. by many of us over the same thing that bothered you. But also note my previous posting Frid., June 26 at 5:55 [EbAY DECLARATION OF WAR.] You will note the kind of action eBay is taking--they threatened me and except for some questions I politely raised with a couple of dealers, none of whom appeared angry, although several didn't reply, I haven't sought to prevent anyone from buying. But I think it is right and proper for us to 1) notify the seller of fantasy chips that are not accurately labeled "fantasy" or "reproduction" or similar clear wording, that his offer is misleading; and 2) I see nothing improper in notifying any bidder that they are not getting real casino chips. But act on your own peril as it appears eBay is protecting only their sellers. Take a look at Jim Reily's several postings as well as those by Steve Brock. Both good people who are probably also wanted by the eBay "posse of sellers."
