Bill Boreland's name sure crops up a lot when it comes to funny chips.
Jerry Wahl can probably answer most questions on Boreland, as he purchased Bill's store and stock after Bill died.

Bill had Bub Jones make the coin inlay fake Silverbirds, Holiday International, etc. The Shanedoah 25 cent mis-spelld chips are also very suspect as they came from Bill. I think I have 3 different varieties of them. I think I can find several others if I search my records.

Jerry told me, Bill made the coin inlays to sell as key chains. But, the chippers thought they were real and offered big prices. Bill could not resist the temptation. Maybe true, Maybe not.
