Excellent suggestion. I've been doing the same thing and also never had a problem. I do suggest that oils of any type never be used to restore luster, as any excess absorbed oil tends to come to the surface of the chip in a period of time and makes a mess. The oil can also break-down components of the chip and cause all sorts of problems. Good advise by both DonL and DonA.
