Hi John, Having done some research into the "dot" mold - I will concede the high probability this chip being from Nevada. I know of no other chip in this mold except Nevada chips. The original problem I had with the "proof" submitted was the reliance upon the hot stamp for all three molds. Since this type of lettering was standard for the time frame - the fact all three chips have it establish nothing!! The "dot" mold is far more evidence the chip comes from Nevada than anything we have discussed. I still have my doubts involving the "X" mold. However, since I can not find a Las Vegas Club anywhere else in the country during this time frame - I will not question it further. As far as authorities in the field - No one respects research, knowledge and experience more than I do. Since I do not profit from my research; nor do I sell chips - I don't put the same reliance in these individuals you do. This does not mean my respect is less; it just means I am more cautious because of the "profit motive" that sometimes clouds judgement. John, both you and I know in the last two years how many California chips have been sold as Nevada. Is there any wonder why individuals question? We have lost many collectors who become disgusted with being "ripped off". No need to continue this discussion. Take care my friend - Best, Jim
