Hi John, Thanks for your note! It is always good to hear from you. I plan to provide in a later post some interesting information involving the "dot" mold. I just hope I can still find it.<g> In your reply you make statements YOU believe to be true. First of all I am not fully convinced the "X" mold Las Vegas Club is a Nevada Chip. I find it difficult to believe there are only two X club mold chips known - and one of them happens to be from Nevada. The other as you know is from Kentucky. Who says so?? How do they know??? Since the manufacture of this mold is unknown to us, what basis have "we" used to conclude it is from the Las Vegas Club in downtown Las Vegas? The name? What about the "Reno Club" that is not in Reno.<VBG> I believe, the "seller" of a chip has the responsibility of establishing where a chip comes from - not the buyer! However, what has been a very common practice is a chip find is stated as coming from Nevada - A $600.00 price is placed upon the set of chips. The "buyer" through research discovers the chips are not from Nevada. The seller refunds or credits the buyer. I for one will not buy any chip, the origin of which, has not been established. This practice has saved me "mucho" dollars.<G>. I don't believe we are wasting board space to keep collectors aware of information that allows them to make intelligent decisions involving chip buys.
