Webster is right -- and so are you!
All one needs to do is visit eBay Auctions to see how many times the word "rare" is misused. Though, in our hobby, there are levels of rareness described in the books and guides we use, the word rare is still too frequently encountered - especial when used to desribe a chip with a $10-value. I also believe an explanation should be used as to why the word "rare" is mentioned in describing a chip, token or any collectible. Personally, I feel "scarce" is a much better term, providing, it, too, is not abused.
