Sheldon,
Here's an example of one Atlantic City Roulette
"acquired" years ago. This one was from a very
short-lived casino, and it has been known to sell
for between $150 to $275.
Just to give you an example of what can happen when
one may procrastinate at a table: I have been
frequinting the Lucayan Beach Hotel & Casino (Grand
Bahama Island) for several years, and would only
pick up one or two certain color/table combinations
to complete a series for a customer or for future
trades, figuring I could always "acquire" additional
chips on my next visit (a 28-minute hop from Palm
Beach). Yeah -- you guessed it: The casino closed
and I only have one example from just one of the
three tables in my collection.
There are some vintage Nevada Roulettes
from the Mint in Las Vegas and the Cal-Neva Lodge in
Lake Tahoe that currently trade for $800 to $1,500 each! Not
bad for a Roulette, I would say.
