I found this Sahara Hotel artifact at the Las Vegas Bottle show a couple of years ago. The fellow who had it didn't know what it was and I still can't figure what it might have been used for.

It's a brass uniface token with the Shara logo and the sphinx pictured in the middle of a roulette wheel. It has two holes drilled at top and bottom and was riveted to a brass cup. The token is about 1 3/8" diameter, a little smaller than a dollar token. The only guess I have is it was intended to fit into a hole in something. Game related? Part of a tourist souvenir? Fits on the top of a roulette wheel?

The artwork on the token is well made and it's a sharp mold so doesn't seem to be a cheaply made item.
