I might as well add my 2 cents worth of speculation. I just returned from the club San Rafael, and they told me that they are the only licensed card room or casino in Marin County. They took over Pete's 881 club, which can be seen as soon as you come out of the parking lot of Club San Rafael.

I expect that Mel is probably the most knowledgable person to contact about this particular place as he lives just a short distance from the club and knows all the principals.

Just a footnote. I have some nice trade chips from Club San Rafael if anyone is intersted.
